We came to the hills of Southwestern Pennsylvania in 2008 with a goal of purchasing a homestead with some acreage and having a sustainable farm. We wanted to be very sure of the humane conditions and health of the animals who produced all the products we eat. The result is a couple acres backed by forest close enough to city jobs but able to house goats, chickens, and in the future, bees. We currently obtain all our milk, eggs, and honey from our farm and our neighbor's farm. 2015 is our third year raising Nigerian Dwarf goats, and our sixth year raising pure breeds of bantam chickens. We have also had a long love of goats, sheep, and other herd animals. We breed for health, temperament, and dairy qualities, while keeping a very small, select herd. We had our first Linear Appraisal through ADGA July 2015. Results on our adult goats are either listed or available.. We are proud members of ADGA, AGS, and WPDGA. Our small herd of 4 does and 2 bucks tested negative for CAE, CL, Johne's, TB and Brucellosis April 2014 through WADDL. All adult does tested Negative for CAE again June 2015 through PADLS. All adult goats over 1 year are tested anually for CAE.
Love of goats... but this is not our goat. This goat lives at a farm animal sanctuary near Asheville NC
