I am beyond excited to have this beautiful goat-man here in my herd! Several years ago when I made plans to get a doe and a buck from the Oldesouth herd, I became slightly obsessed over his good looks and ancestry and got put on the waiting list for a pairing with him as the sire (the doe lost that pregnancy). I ended up with other Oldesouth stock, but I never stopped my desire for Marquis' genetics in my herd. When I was offered Marquis by my friend Jennifer at PrimRose Hill Nigerians, I thought I'd died and gone to ND breeder's heaven. Marquis is in perhaps the last season of being a herdsire in late 2019 but has successfully gotten a couple of my does with kid, and I can't wait to see what he's thrown next spring. STAY TUNED...

Marquis has an excellent topline, conformation, and straight legs. His full sister, Diva Diamond, is a JuJu Silver award winner and Superior Genetics doe.
Diva Diamond was #1 in Milk in Volume and Protein, and #2 in Butterfat in 2015!

IThis lovely charming buck came into my life after I had been looking at his printed photo ( this one) on my office wall for several years. He was my dream- hunk-a-buck! I was so thrilled to have Marquise here at my farm. He was 7 when he arrived, and he had been unable to settle does for a good year. He showed the does here a good time with lots of neck kisses, but he never settled anyone for me. Sadly , he went from apparent health with lowered hormonal drive to wasted away in a week with no diet change or appetite loss. He was born on my mothers birthday and passed on my father's birthday. RIP beautiful Marquise-man!
He lives on in his beautiful, correct progeny.
